FORUM IS ABANDONED - DISREGARD ALL POSTINGS

As of 2012 the comp.databases.pick Usenet
forum is no longer used by the Pick/MultiValue
community.

The community has moved to:
http://groups.google.com/group/mvdbms
All legitimate queries should be posted there.

ALL postings here should be disregarded as
internet abuse.

Please do not post to this forum.
Posting here encourages further abuse.

Most content here after 2011 did not come from
the Author cited. Author names and addresses
used to post content are usually forged.

After 2011, do not trust anything posted here
about people, companies, or products.

This announcement will be repeated periodically.

AFTER 2011 DO NOT READ OR POST TO THIS FORUM.

Please post all new content to the new MVDBMS group or other groups.

For anyone still posting here: It's obvious that this group no longer
has content for a business community. Anyone with real business
interests is not reading this group and will not respond. There is no
reason whatsoever to post technical questions or any other feedback to
this group anymore. Doing so only perpetuates the problem that forced
everyone to leave in the first place. For evidence of this, simply
look at the archive here for the last 9 months.

Please do not continue to encourage the problem that forced this
community to migrate. Let CDP die.

Well I for one won't be chased off by a crazy basket case. Since I can't
recall you ever being elected Emperor of Usenet, I'll do as I please and
I suspect others will as well.

Glen I'm with you as long as people post meaningful items then we should continue supporting this group. AND I just checked there is a icon with a ! in it up at the top of the screen. People can use that to report abuse if they wish

It's "Gene". :)
Reporting "abuse" in this case is pointless.  The derp is posting with a fake name/email address.  The only thing we know is where he's posting from.  Typically
usenet news providers will not take any kind of action unless the person is
doing seriously illegal things - and even then it requires a law enforcement
action of some kind for them to chase the dork down and cut off his access.
The simple thing to do would be to configure your newsreader to ignore traffic
from his posting host (this info can be found in the header of his messages).
If you're using Google Groups to read this newsgroup, you're pretty much SOL.
I'd recommend getting a dedicated newsreader such as XanaNews and then use
one of the free news servers such as the one available through bbs-scene.org.

Who knows. Then again, it's not a "forum", it's a "newsgroup" and it
never was abandoned, despite what some may think.
